I like to use visual images in my healing journey and this image of being repaired with gold really speaks to me. Fill those hurt places; those deep dark crevices and hard to reach places, those gaps and holes, fill them with solid gold and feel the treasures you have within.
I only use the words ‘damaged’, ‘broken,’ and ‘repair’ because this is how the hurt and pain may make us feel. Of course we don’t need fixing and are far from broken. But I hope that just for a moment you can feel how much depth and substance and beauty you possess because you are you.
I am at a point where I am trying to embrace everything about me in the past and present. I am accepting the grey places; the contradictions and incongruities. Be proud of the person you are and all the scars you possess. you are full of gold.
